Transparency standard

Detection, user feedback, corroboration, and independent verification are not the same thing.

A user response can help evaluate the system, but it does not by itself prove that gunfire occurred or establish the source. Performance claims should include the measurement method and limitations.

Optional feedback sends a derived numerical sound signature created on-device, not the raw recording.

Location is not used to build profiles of individual users' movements or travel patterns.

SplitSec does not collect location or device information from nearby phones that are not participating.

Defined sensitive-data retention
